Life / AD&D / LTD Insurance

For the Life Insurance / LTD Plan, a person is eligible for Employee coverage on the first day of employment.

Term Life Insurance

The EPC offers eligible employees a $50,000 Term Life Insurance policy (decreases after the age of 65) as part of the EPC Benefits Program. An Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) insurance policy also is included and is equal to the amount of the life insurance benefit. The cost for this coverage is $12.50 per month.

Long-Term Disability Insurance (LTD)

The EPC offers eligible employees Long-Term Disability Insurance coverage as part of the EPC Benefits Program. This coverage provides sixty per cent (60%) of qualified earnings after ninety days (90) of total disability. For those enrolled in LTD an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is available at no additional cost; see below for more info. The cost for this coverage is calculated based on your earnings.

Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

This confidential service is offered to LTD participants to help them cope with life challenges when other possible support is lacking or unsuitable. Normally, pastors or local Christian counselors are one's first means of help, but sometimes other support will be sought. Click here for a brochure describing this service and how to access it.
