That the EPC will connect existing opportunities and create new ones so that the best next generation of church planters will find a clear, inviting pathway to prepare for church planting in the EPC.
“I’m interested in EPC church planting, where do I go next?”
If you have:
No Experience (no church planting experience, little ministry experience)
- Complete our Church Planting 3-Part Self-Assessment
- Contact an EPC “First Responder” in your area to find out what experiences you will need from:
- Seminary.
- Job openings in EPC churches led by former church planters.
- Internships available in EPC churches with a church planting theme.
- Church Planting “Boot camp” - If you have little or no full-time ministry experience, the EPC will fund your exploration of this vocation at the boot camp of your choice, after a minimum of one year in full-time ministry in an EPC church.
Some Experience (some church planting experience and/or years of ministry experience)
- Complete our Church Planting 3-Part Self-Assessmentt and contact an EPC “First Responder”.
- Attend a Church Planting Bootcamp (to receive exposure to the best thinking about ‘how’ and ‘why’ to plant churches).
- Internships (necessity depends on your experience).
- Mentoring (with an experienced EPC church planter).
- CMTC personal 2-day Assessment (Many of our most promising candidates may be co-funded by their presbytery and one other calling agency to be assessed for church planting.
- CPAC Week-long Assessment (available at limited set times, in conjunction with other reformed bodies).
- Personal Connection to possible church planting opportunities in the EPC.
Seasoned Veteran (years of ministry experience, significant productive church planting experience with concrete calling, location, and plan)

- What you need from us to help make your church plant happen?
- Boot Camp for fresh strategy (see above).
- CMTC personal 2-dayAssessment (see above).
