THE MASTER PLAN OF THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY FOR NATIONAL OUTREACH

Mission: Laboring with God to build a movement of growing and multiplying churches. Our mission can only be carried out by God’s supernatural power as we express our dependence on Him through prayer and His Word.

 FIVE STRATEGIC AREAS

CHURCH PLANTING:

To equip and empower people to plant churches and effectively fulfill the Great Commission.

Objectives:
- To develop pastors with a Reformed commitment and the giftedness to plant churches;
- To see that all church planting candidates are qualified through an effective church planting assessment center;
- To be a resource to presbyteries in the church planting process;
- To plant vibrant churches that will reproduce themselves.

CHURCH VITALITY:

To provide presbyteries and churches the necessary resources to positively impact church vitality.

Objectives:
- To identify EPC churches which are most likely to benefit from a church vitality process;
- To resource churches, in consultation with presbyteries, in developing a master plan that identifies mission, goals and objectives;
- To identify appropriate resources and materials that will aid churches in enhancing vitality.

EVANGELISM:

To equip and encourage churches to effectively reach their communities with the gospel.

Objectives:
- To understand how God is at work in the United States;
- To equip the church with a Reformed understanding of evangelism as key to successful proclamation of the gospel;
- To provide our churches with effective resources that will allow them to share their faith with the lost.

URBAN MINISTRY:

To transform urban centers by establishing churches and aiding existing urban ministries to impact their communities for Christ. Urban ministry is providing hope by turning our hearts and extending our hands to the poor in urban centers with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Objectives:
- To aid and assist existing urban ministries in whatever way possible;
- To establish churches and ministries in urban centers in consultation with presbyteries;
- To develop and promote opportunities for racial reconciliation.

HOME MISSIONS:

In partnership, cooperation with, and/or at the request of presbytery, we will enable workers to present the love of Christ to people groups in the USA who are unreached by the established church.

 Objectives:
- To identify unreached people groups in the USA needing Christ’s love;
- To find and nurture qualified missionaries who will live with these groups;
- To assist these workers in securing funds for their ministries;
- To work toward establishing churches among these people groups, or if not possible, to link them with existing churches.
