Purpose of the Foundation
The purpose of the EPC Foundation is to advance the Gospel throughout the Evangelical Presbyterian Church. The EPC Foundation facilitates charitable estate gifts and planned gifts which provide the additional resources that assist the local church, presbytery and other Evangelical Presbyterian Church ministries to fulfill the purpose, goals and opportunities of the future.
All the ministries of the local church, including church planting, world missions and evangelism outreach, depend upon your generosity and goodwill. To that end, there are a variety of giving options from which you can choose - from making a bequest in your will to a more complex trust arrangement.
Below are the four strategic areas of the EPC Foundation.
- First, we provide a collection of charitable saving accounts (we call Donor-Advised Funds) established by many different people throughout our family of Christ-centered Evangelical Presbyterian Churches. Each Donor-Advised Fund is established by an individual, family, business, Church, Presbytery or other nonprofit organization. Each Donor-Advised Fund benefits the Church or the Christian ministry of the donor's choice and the donor may receive tax advantages.
- Second, we provide various charitable financial services such as Life Income Plans, Charitable Trusts, and Endowments.
- Third, we provide estate and planned giving information as well as financial stewardship education for local churches and presbyteries. We also provide Christian stewardship information and resources.
- Fourth, we provide complex gift services and administration. This service coordinates bequests, living trusts, gifts of real estate, closely-held business interests, investment accounts, retirement assets, insurance policies, and pesonal property with the needs of the donor, their Church and their recommended ministries.
