New Church Launches In Downtown Pittsburgh

Rev. Rodger Woodworth is leading a core team of 40 to 50 adults to plant a coffeehouse-style in downtown Pittsburgh. New City Church will hold services in a storefront space. The mission of the church is to create a downtown community by sharing the gospel in a setting that would attract people who may not be comfortable in a traditional one, where college students in particular are a missing demographic.

Memorial Park Church along with the Presbytery of the Alleghenies are planting New City. New City Church is currently holing services at the Wyndham Grand Hotel in downtown Pittsburgh.
